When in doubt, my go-to outfit is black and white. It’s so chic, classic, and easy to pull off– the quintessential desk-to-dinner ensemble. Some might say “no white after Labor Day,” but the black and white combo is basically its own color, right? As you’ve seen in previous wardrobe posts, I adore the high-waisted skirt. Cinching at the waist (instead of the hip) is just so flattering and grown-up! I love that high-waisted skirts come in all lengths and shapes, and can look good on just about anyone. It’s all about finding the best silhouette for your body-type.
Black and white are also the perfect backdrop for a bold accessory. We’re approaching scarf weather and I just can’t wait to break out the scarves I’ve collected over the years!
To pull this look together, I added an elastic belt, green earrings and pink lipstick. Since it’s almost fall, I’ll soon be replacing my summer sandals with comfy flats.
Get this look by pairing together your black and white basics, and adding a bold accent!
