Barcelona: Architectural Wonderland

January 29, 201629 Comments

We had a special Barcelona experience: we were barely there for 72 hours, and spent Christmas Eve Catalonian-style. I can hardly do justice to Barcelona's highlights since we only had time for a few stops, but I was absolutely in awe with its architectural flair. From the Gothic Quarter to Gaudi's creations, Barcelona is a must-see for architecture lovers. It has a bit of everything: vibrant history, diverse culture, amazing food, high fashion, street performers, stunning cathedrals and ordinary pedestrians. Even with the short amount of time I spent there, I fell in love. ...Continue Reading

Gratitude Pours Forth.

November 18, 201451 Comments

Gratitude has been a buzzword lately. Because Thanksgiving is just around the corner, I am seeing more and more "grateful hearts" and "gratitude lists" than before. And I love it. I love hearing about what people are grateful for-- big and small. It brings a smile to my face that we can celebrate ...Continue Reading

Little Girl Loves

November 17, 2014112 Comments

When I was a little girl, I loved all things stereotypically girly. Lace, chiffon, beads, dresses, long hair, jewelry, tights, satin-- all of it (though I preferred green over pink)! I was constantly begging my mother to allow me to get my ears pierced, and I even started ballet so that I could wear ...Continue Reading

4 Reasons to Travel More

November 13, 201475 Comments

Some of us love the idea of jetting off to a new destination. Others of us can't think of anything more stressful. But however you feel about boarding an airplane, traveling occasionally is extremely important. And I would like to expand the definition of travel beyond passports, carry-ons, boarding ...Continue Reading

In Southern California, looking professional while fitting in can be more of a challenge than it seems. Women appear to fill their closets with laid-back attire that is also excruciatingly trendy. While I can appreciate a tasteful crop top or romper, these aren't pieces I'll be wearing into a ...Continue Reading

Thanksgiving Menus and Memories

November 10, 2014109 Comments

Every Thanksgiving, my hospitable heart flutters with excitement as nearly all of its dreams come true. The reason why I adore Thanksgiving so much is that it brings together three things I love: hospitality, gratitude, and good food. Ever since I helped cook a Thanksgiving meal at an addictions ...Continue Reading

10 Things to Avoid During an Argument

November 6, 201469 Comments

Arguments and fights-- we've all been there. And despite the fact that these are far from enjoyable, we know that every good friendship and relationship has its tense moments. However, many of us also do things that make our arguments counterproductive. Rather than listening carefully, then speaking ...Continue Reading

Last week, I started a new series where I'll be sharing a few details about myself! Earl Grey Shortbread Cookies

November 4, 2014101 Comments

This past year, Earl Grey became one of my favorite black teas. The sweetness of bergamot is both calming and energizing at the same time. And though this tea is ubiquitous, it somehow escapes cliche-- at least in my book! So of course I'm looking for creative ways to use Earl Grey tea beyond the ...Continue Reading

I've always loved the idea of a soft old t-shirt that I could wear everywhere. But for some reason, most of my old t-shirts are stiff as ever, no matter how many times I wear and wash them. So I've been on the lookout for a compromise: clothing that is unbelievably soft and yet feels appropriate for ...Continue Reading
